Kendra Renee Hauber

Kendra Renee Hauber passed away after a short stay at Hope West Hospice Ferris Care Center in Grand Junction, Colorado.

She is preceded in death by her mother Dorothy McQueen, father Donald Hicks, sister Cindy Benoit, and niece Amber Hennis.

A longtime resident of Grand Junction, Kendra retired after many years of working as a bookkeeper at Mesa Lanes Bowling Alley. She loved taking on all kinds of home improvement projects—no job seemed too intimidating for her to tackle! Everything from landscaping, bathroom remodels, handmade wooden shutters, flooring, stairs, walls, to hand-painting every brick on their home. Her creativity knew no bounds. A master of crafting, she created jewelry, candles, lotions, wonderful soaps, just to name a few. She enjoyed all kinds of gourmet cooking.

Kendra loved our Lord Jesus Christ and felt His presence throughout her battle. She loved her husband and family dearly and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by “the love of her life” of 44 years, George Hauber, daughter Carrie Hauber and husband Mike Bushman, son Michael Brady and wife Sarah, Michael’s previous wife Christina Brady-Wright, daughter Jennifer Jeffrey and husband Loice, son Mathew Hauber, stepdaughter Michelle Bullock (Brady) and family, brother Gary Hicks and wife Kathy, sister Carlyne Bolte and husband Les, brother-in-law Ken Benoit and wife Linda.

Grandsons: Cameron and Myles Bushman, Haiden, Caleb, Ethan, and Landon Brady, and Erik Fiantaca.

Granddaughters: Rylie Hauber and “adopted” granddaughter, Jessica Woodward.

Four great grandchildren, six nephews, and four nieces.

Kendra’s Celebration of Life will be Thursday, August 7 from 5:00 p.m to 7:00 p.m. at Orchard Mesa Lanes- 295 27 Rd, Grand Junction CO 81503
