Karen Valdez

Karen “Michelle” Newton Valdez, passed away peacefully at her home in Rifle, CO on March 4, 2017.

Michelle was born December 2, 1954 in Arvada.  She was preceded in death by her father, Robert E. Newton, mother, Joy Maxwell Newton, and a brother, Robert E. Newton, Jr.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas S. Valdez, cousin, Lynette Lyley Newton of Ft. Collins and a niece, Lany Marie Minkie, of Littleton, CO

Michelle married Thomas Valdez September 3, 1993 in Glenwood Springs, CO. They were together and enjoyed the outdoors, volunteering for the community, and traveling.  Michelle touched many with her compassion and generosity.

Celebration of Life will be announced at a future date.
