In Loving Memory of Joshua Chavez, a beloved son, brother, Fiancé, Grandpa and devoted single father. He departed this world on October 22, 2023 at the age of 50, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and dedication.
Born on June 15th, 1973 in Clayton New Mexico, Josh was the eldest child of Roy and Priscilla Chavez. From an early age, he displayed a remarkable sense of responsibility and compassion. In his early adulthood he found himself faced with the daunting task of raising his two young children, Josh and Lexi, on his own. Joshua embraced his role as a single father with unwavering determination and selflessness. He sacrificed his own personal ambitions and tirelessly worked jobs and created his own business to ensure that his children had every opportunity to thrive. Despite the challenges he faced, Joshua created a loving and nurturing environment for his family, always putting their needs before his own. His children, Josh, Savaya and Lexi, were his pride and joy. Josh encouraged them to pursue their dreams, providing unwavering support and guidance along the way. He attended countless parent-teacher meetings, sporting events, and school performances, always cheering them on. Joshua’s love for his children knew no bounds, and his presence in their lives will forever be cherished.
Outside of his role as a father, Joshua was a loyal friend and a symbol of strength. He had a huge heart and always made everyone feel heard and valued, his kind heart touched the lives of many. In his rare moments of relaxation, Joshua found peace in nature. He had a deep appreciation for the outdoors. Joshua will be dearly missed by his parents, Roy and Priscilla Chavez, his Brother Kalub, his children, Josh, Savaya and Lexi. His grandchildren Nayeli and Mason as well as his Fiancé Lucinda and many family and friends. Although his physical presence may be gone, his memory will forever be in our hearts.
