John “Jack, Jackie” Riccillo III

John “Jack, Jackie” Riccillo III, age 66, passed away on August 25, 2026. He passed away after a long illness.

He was born April 12, 1960, in Queens, New York, son of the late John Anthony Riccillo and Eileen Judith “Judy” Callahan Riccillo. Through his journey of 66 years, John touched many lives with his wisdom and humor. John was extremely witty in all situations – both amazingly smart with a terrific sense of humor. He was a true people person with his big smile and would reach out to help anyone in any circumstance.

He served his country in the United States Air Force for four years. He was stationed in Boston, Massachusetts, and Specchiolla, Italy, with his wife and mother of his children, Lisa Jo Riccillo. After the military, he worked at Sundstrand as a machinist in Grand Junction, Colorado.

From the time he was young, he was an entrepreneur. He had a lawn business at the age of 12. He would hire his two younger sisters, Eileen and Patricia, who were excited to work for him.

As an adult, he continued his entrepreneurial spirt by owning a landscaping business for 15 years.

John was most proud of his job as stay-at-home Dad to his children, Suzanne and Johnny. John loved his children and grandchildren, and his family meant everything to him.

His famous saying was “there are no coincidences.”

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved son, Johnny Riccillo (34 years old); his greatly loved nephew, Joseph Gartner (24); and his special cousins from the Dirr Family: Padraic (3 months), Kathleen (19), and Chris (50).

He is survived by his loving daughter Suzanne Mariah Hardin (David); seven grandchildren, Bently, Dennis, Jeremiah, Anthony, Lincoln, Alex, and Jasper; five sisters, Judy Marie Kelley (Roger), Maureen Riccillo Gartner (Bryan), Eileen Mary McGinnis (Mike), Patricia Riccillo Kenney (Tim), and Suzanne Riccillo Bergen (Rob); 16 nieces and nephews; along with many other family and friends who will miss him dearly. “Missing someone means they have a special place in your heart.”

John’s Celebration of Life will be at Brown’s Funeral Home, 904 7th Street, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2026. We invite all to join in honoring John’s life.`

John will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
