In Loving Memory of Jerald “Jerry” Lee BrannonJune 19, 1945 – March 31, 2026
Jerald “Jerry” Lee Brannon was peacefully welcomed home on the morning of March 31, 2026. He was greeted by many who went before him, especially the love of his life, his wife Noni, and his beloved son Jerry Jr.
Jerry was born on June 19, 1945, in Raton, New Mexico, to Leroy Brannon and Ruby Brannon. He was the second youngest of six children and grew up surrounded by family, laughter, and hard work—values that would guide him throughout his life.
Jerry met the love of his life, Bonnie “Noni” Hopkins, in Flagstaff, Arizona. They shared a beautiful 48-year marriage filled with love, devotion, and partnership until Noni’s passing on March 27, 2021. Jerry never put himself first; everything he did was for his wife and children. His life was a quiet testament to selflessness and unconditional love.
Together, Jerry and Noni raised four children: Gina Alease Lopez (Ronnie) of Brighton, Colorado; Jocelynn Brannon of Grand Junction; Jerry Brannon Jr. (preceded him in passing); and Robert Justin Brannon of Rifle, Colorado. Jerry instilled in his children the values of love, respect, a strong work ethic, and the belief that family always comes first. These values live on in the hearts of his children and continue to shape their lives.
Jerry was a proud and devoted grandfather to six grandchildren—Vanessa Lopez, Brittney Crow, Bonnie Lopez-Collier, Josephine (Josie) Brannon, Lacey Brannon, and Channi Williams—and a loving great-grandfather to five great-grandchildren. He was deeply cherished by his sisters-in-law Karen Fischer and Debbie Ellsworth, along with his many nieces and nephews.
Jerry devoted his professional life to the gas pipeline industry, working on projects including the Alaska Pipeline and the Kern River Pipeline. He held roles from Inspector to Assistant Manager of Operations and ultimately District Manager of Special Projects. He was respected for his integrity, leadership, and strong work ethic.
Making memories was important to Jerry. He treasured traveling with Noni, especially to sunny beaches and Las Vegas. Family and friends were always welcome in his backyard, where he proudly served as the master smoker and griller—often saying with humility, “It could be better.” Those gatherings will forever be cherished.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters Betty Word, Alice Ash, and Jean Drager; his brother Johnny Brannon; his son Jerry Brannon Jr.; and the love of his life, Noni Brannon.
Jerald “Jerry” Lee Brannon is not gone—just away—until the day our family chain is linked again. He will be dearly missed and forever loved.
A memorial celebration will be held at the Redlands Community Center on the 17th from 1:00 to 4:00 PM.
