Jack (John) Daryl Mayhew, 83, of Grand Junction, Colorado, passed away January 14, 2026. Born in Moab, Utah, Jack was the son of E.J. and Helen Mayhew. He lived across the western United States and spent five meaningful years living abroad. Jack worked as a geologist, a career that was also his passion, and he was known for his kind, calm, devoted, and curious spirit. He is survived by his wife, Carol; children Lisa (John) and Michael (Carrie); four grandchildren Chase, Cooper, Bryce, & Leah; and brothers Robert (Julie) and Allen (Parys). 

A private service will be held.
