Heather Anne Bovat passed away on March 30, 2026 at the age of 64 in Delta, Colorado.

She passed peacefully in her bed from heart failure.

Heather was born to Lawrence Ernest Bovat and Carolyn Close Frisbie on May 30, 1961 in Clayton, California. She attended the University of California and received a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Environmental Planning and Management. With her degree, she held senior city planning positions in Douglas County, Nevada, the Matanuska-Susitna Borough of Alaska, and Grand Junction, Colorado.

Heather loved the outdoors as a backpacker in her youth and a camper in her adult life. She loved her pets, enjoyed supporting artists, and played the guitar. She had many crafting hobbies including sewing, decoupage and beading.

She is survived by her two sons Andrew Jorgensen and Justin Bovat, three Bovat grandchildren, her sister, her aunt, various cousins and extended family.

Heather was cremated and no formal services are planned. Friends and extended family are encouraged to memorialize her in their own way. Remembrances can be left with Brown's Cremation & Funeral Service in Grand Junction on the memorial site provided, or left on her Facebook page, which we hope to have memorialized soon.
