Harry Hergenreder was born on February 29th, 1924, which made him a leap year baby. He had passed away at the age of 101 but in leap years he would be 25. Harry lived a good portion of his life in Colorado; Grand Junction until his early 30's and then Longmont. Where he met his wife, Dora Manson. The two started a family right away. They had sons: Dana (Yesla), Thomas (Becky), Bobby (Angela) Hergenreder and daughter Emma Hergenreder. Grandchildren included Dana Hergenreder Jr, David Hergenreder, Danny Hergenreder, Amber (Smith) Hergenreder; Great Grandchildren, Natalie, Dylan, Dawen. Harry was a farmer by trade. He grew soybeans. and he loved the outdoors, spent lots of time fishing and just general sightseeing. After his wife, Dora, passed he remarried to Ginger Kekoa and later moved to Hawaii. He often talked about growing up in the Grand Junction area and how he felt like it made him an American cowboy from the wild west. A celebration of life will be held at his favorite beach, Waimanalo Beach Park in Oahu Hawaii Monday March 2nd, 2026, at 10 a.m.
