It is with full hearts, deep gratitude and cherished memories that we announce the passing of our beloved patriarch, Glenn Edwin Morrison, a man whose kindness, humility, and love shaped everyone fortunate enough to know him. He was born Jan 11, 1932 in Portales NM to Charles Burton & Bertha Mae Ball Morrison. He left this world on November 23, 2025, and stepped into the presence of our Lord Jesus, whom he loved so deeply.
To know him was to experience genuine warmth. He had a rare gift for making people feel at ease—always ready with a smile, a gentle joke, or a playful “You’re ornery!” or “Trouble!” just to coax a grin. Laughter followed him wherever he went, not because he demanded attention, but because he offered joy so freely.
He taught us, not through speeches, but through example—by showing patience, offering forgiveness, and giving more than he ever expected in return. His presence made ordinary days feel special, and his wisdom often came in the simplest of reminders, especially his favorite phrase: “Be good to yourself.”
Though our hearts ache with the loss of him, they are also full—filled with the laughter he created, the comfort he gave, and the love he showed so effortlessly. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched, in the stories we’ll share, and in every moment we choose kindness over anything else.
His family and his faith in Christ were the cornerstone of his life. He lived it daily—not through grand gestures, but through quiet acts of love, forgiveness, and generosity. He taught us, simply by example, what it means to walk in grace.
He poured himself into family with unwavering devotion, as evidenced by his 67 year marriage to his beloved wife, Mary Elizabeth Sweet Morrison who preceded him into the arms of Jesus 11 months ago. Celebrating our joys, carrying our burdens, praying for us constantly, and loving us unconditionally, he was our safe place, our encourager, and our steady guide. He leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue through his family and we are forever grateful for the years we were blessed to share with him. Though our hearts ache with his absence, we rejoice knowing he is now at peace in the presence of his Savior. And in his honor, we promise to carry forward his gentleness, humor, faith and love.
He is survived by his youngest sister, Shari Morrison, 4 children, 4 grand children, 1 great grand child, and many neices and nephews.
Just like he always told us. "Be good to yourself."
Celebration of life will be December 15th, 3:00 PM at Bookcliff Baptist Church. (You can wear red in his honor if you want.)
