Colorado. His battle with serious medical issues in recent years showed his courage in
facing life challenges with a smile.
He was born in Delta, Colorado to the late Marlin and Betty Street, the youngest of 7
children. Gary attended R-5 High School and graduated in 1978.
In 1978, with the help of mutual friends, Gary met the love of his life, Coleen. They
enjoyed 43 years together. They went on to have two children, Katie and Adam.
Gary had a wide variety of jobs, which included Bailey House Movers, Assay Pawn Shop
with his brother Ted, Grand Junction Lincoln-DeVore, and lastly Huddleston-Berry
Engineering & Testing.
Everyone knew Gary as a tinkerer who could fix anything. Gary was an avid deer hunter,
fisherman and had a passion for the outdoors. Some unforgettable memories involved
hunting season with his ‘hunting buddies’ and family camping trips.
Gary is survived by his loving wife, Coleen, children Katie (William) MacFarlane, Adam
Street, as well as his siblings Dan, Jim, Mary, Linda and Shirley, numerous nieces and
nephews and one grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents Marlin and Betty
and brother Ted.
A private gathering will be held at a later date.
