"The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD forever." Psalm 23:4
One last goodbye
As we stand here over your bed I am flooded with memories. We are forever grateful for you loving my mother/grandmother the way you did. We know you fought so hard to stay with her, to continue taking care of her, and to continue loving her with all your heart.
We are honored to have been by your side to this point. We were there as you took your final breath— you are not alone. We can’t go with you beyond this point, but here on earth, we will forever keep you in our hearts, and one day we will all be able to stand by your side once more.
For now this is not a goodbye, but simply a see you soon. Our love always, Maryann, Kristy, Makayla and family.
