Eugene Roger Wilson

Eugene Roger Wilson age 69 died 22nd March, 2024 following an 18 month courageous battle against mesothelioma cancer. 

Born October 10, 1954 in Denver Colorado he was the son of the late Orville and Frances Wilson. 

Gene graduated from Tracy High in Tracy California. 

He was a veteran of the US Navy having served during the Vietnam war. 

Gene retired from the VA Hospital in 2010 after 35 years of service as a Boiler Operator.  He then worked for several years at The Daily Sentinel in Grand Junction. 

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and hiking.  Gene was very friendly and helpful and loved by all he came in contact with.  Gene always put his wife Linda first and was a dedicated father and grandfather. 

Eugene is survived by his wife of 47 years Linda, Sons Clifford (Casandra) and Roy (Valeria).  Sister Pat (Tom) Wolfe, Brother Clifford (Diane) Wilson, Grandsons Ian Wilson, Kyle Wilson, Noah Wilson, Devin Wilson and Granddaughter Alexandra Wilson 

Celebration of Life will be Tuesday April 2nd at 10:00 am at Brown’s 904 N 7th Street Grand Junction
