Obituary

Ethel Ann (Christensen) Boydstun, age 89, died on April 12,2026 following a brief illness. Born November 2, 1936, in Grand Junction Colorado, she was the daughter of the late Jacob Jens and Annie Sophia (Larsen) Christensen. Ethel grew up on a peach orchard in Palisade attending Mt. Lincoln Elementary. Ethel graduated from Palisade high school in 1954 and attended Parks Business School in Denver, Colorado. Ethel was a homemaker and farmer, and she also owned the "West End Express" a freight company. 

She enjoyed gardening, hunting and horseback riding. She was an avid animal lover. She was friendly, quiet and incredibly devoted to her family. She was always helping someone and a very hardworking person. 

Ethel was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband William L. Boydstun, her second husband John Boydstun, and her son Robert "Bob" Boydstun and son William "Bill" Boydstun as well as brothers; Forrest, Jens J. (1931-1944), and Lawrence. Ethel is survived by her son Carl L. Boydstun (Debbie), her daughters-in-law Sherry Boydstun and Diana Boydstun as well as 6 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Also John's children Sheryl, Jeannie, Dixie, Eric and Bill, and best friend Anita Curry. 

Memorial services will be Friday April 24th, at 1:00pm at Palisade Municipal Cemetery. A viewing will be held Thursday April 23rd, from 5 to 7pm.
