Erik Ramon Ambriz

February 6, 1980 — April 8, 2024

Erik Ramon Ambriz, born on February 6, 1980, in North Hollywood, California, embarked on his final journey on April 8, 2024, at Hopewest Hospice in Grand Junction, Colorado.
He is survived by cherished parents Juan Ramon Bernal Ambriz and Kim Joy Ambriz, sisters Tonya Ambriz, Juanita Roberts (Brent Roberts), brother William Ambriz, four incredible children with former wife, Stephanie Ambriz: Mikayla Jo, AJ (Alejandro Juan Ramon), Rylie Joy, and Fabian Ray, whom he adored and loved with all his heart.
His love extended beyond his immediate family to include his longtime companion, Katie Hauff, and a vast network of relatives, friends, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He is preceded in death by maternal grandfather Wayne Casler (Joanne Casler), grandmother Marion Casler, and paternal grandfather Ubaldo Ambriz and grandmother Victorina Ambriz, uncle and cousins.
Throughout his life, Erik found solace and joy in the outdoors, whether it was camping, fishing, or hunting amidst the wilderness. His adventures took him to memorable locations like the Uncompahgre, Grand Mesa, Lake Powell, and Vega Lakes, where he forged lasting memories with loved ones.
Erik possessed a creative spirit, finding pleasure in the art of drawing and painting. His talent extended to the mastery of mimicking the natural calls of elk – a skill that captivated those around him.
As a young man, Erik showcased his cultural heritage through Mexican dance performances, embracing his roots with pride. He delighted in authentic Mexican cooking inspired by his father's culinary traditions from Michoacán, Mexico – his skills in the kitchen were renowned, with his beer bread being a particular favorite among loved ones.
Although Erik has departed from this earthly realm, his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His legacy of love, laughter, and camaraderie will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to have crossed paths with him.
A celebration of Erik's life will be announced at a later date. In the meantime, may his spirit soar free, forever dancing among the stars.
Brown's Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements for his final farewell.
