Eric Martin Allen

ERIC MARTIN ALLEN, age 52, passed away at his home in Meeker, Colorado on June 4, 2025.

Eric was born January 31, 1973, to Robert Wesley and Helen Marie Allred Allen, in Ephrata, Washington.

He graduated from Duchesne High School and earned his BS Degree in GIS/CAD from Chico State University, in Chico California. Since graduating, he worked his entire career for the Bureau of Land Management, working with maps and cartography, first in Elko, Nevada and then Meeker, Colorado.

He was preceded in death by his mother Helen (Jay Abbott). He is survived by his father Robert (Pam), his brother Nathan, his sister Sarah (Warner) Jessop, his brother Tim (Margo) Abbott, and brothers Russell, Korey, Ryan, and sister Letetia Abbott, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Eric was known for his kindness and helpful attitude. He was loved by many and will be sorely missed. His passion for wildlife and the great outdoors led him to his home in Meeker. He was an avid gun collector and liked playing with explosives, especially blowing up pumpkins! He was a very private person but loved to spend time with close family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at the Duchesne Cemetery, in Duchesne Utah (700 S & US Hwy 191) on Saturday July 12, at 11:00AM. Following the service, there will be a lunch at the local church (1st/3rd Ward meetinghouse @ 130 S. 300 E. in Duchesne).
