Douglas Good

August 28, 1951 — August 16, 2014

Douglas Warren Good, No Ka Oi', 62 years young, of Clifton, CO, passed away suddenly Saturday, August 16, 2014, just twelve days before his 63rd birthday. In an instant, Cheryl lost her husband and best friend, and the entire family is left with profound grief.  Born in Port Smith, VA, he was the son of George Warren and Odette Mary Eyssartier Good.  He attend high school and college in Northern VA, and it was there forty years ago, that Doug met and married his soul mate, Cherylann Keahi Roberts. It was a love affair that went by way too fast and ended far too soon. Doug was always a hard worker who had operated heavy equipment and had been employed as a truck driver transporting freight. He was a man of many interests. He was an avid golfer, loved motorcycles, was proficient at working crossword puzzles, liked all different kinds of music, and was probably the greatest fan the Washington Redskins ever had. He loved to have fun with family and friends. It was those special times that brought him the most joy. In addition to his parents, he was  preceded in death by his granddaughter, Miranda Good. He is survived by his loving family: wife, Cheryl Good, of Clifton, two sons, Douglas (Tara) Good of Clifton, and Duane (Heather) Good of Texas, two brothers, Dennis (Beverly) Good of MN, and Donald Good, of VA and a sister, Diane Good of VA, and five wonderful grandchildren, Douglas Good, III, Duane Good, Jr., Justice, Katrina, and Brianne Good, and one great grandson.  Also left behind but not forgotten, his loving K9 companion, Kudos. “Our family will miss you always, love you forever, and hold precious memories of you in our hearts. “Now free from all pain and discomfort – may you rest in perfect peace”  “ Until we are together again…Happy Trails”

Memorials may be made to Roice–Hurst Humane Society, 362 28 Road, Grand Junction, CO 81501
