Dorothy Toomey

Dorothy Jean Toomey, 77 died on May 27, 2022 following a lengthy battle with Dementia.   She was born December 26, 1944 in Glenwood Springs, CO and was the daughter of the late Paul A Toomey & Mary Ann (Achatz) Toomey

Dorothy graduated from Grand Junction High School in Grand Junction, CO.  She had numerous jobs throughout her life and the last position before retirement after 20 years was with JC Penny's at the Mesa Mall in Grand Junction, CO.

She enjoyed spending time with her 3 grandkids:  Jarrett Higginson, Brandon Higginson and Mikaela Higginson along with other family members and friends.  Dorothy was a loving, caring and hardworking single Mother to her daughter Diana (Toomey) Higginson.  She especially enjoyed making cookies and Boating whenever the opportunity presented itself.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents along with 2 brothers (Bill & Pete) and 1 half brother (Paul).   She is survived by her daughter Diana, 3 grandchildren and 2 sisters.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Browns Cremation & Funeral Services Chapel.
