Donald Glenn Coulson, age 88 died February 20, 2024. He was born December 6, 1935 in Grand Junction. He was born to the late Kenneth Coulson Sr. and Mae Coulson. He had a brother Kenneth Coulson Jr. who proceeded him in death. He grew up in Grand Junction and graduated from Grand Junction Hish School in 1953.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served as a Private in the Korean conflict and spent time in Korea. After his time in the military, he lived in Grand Junction and married Anita Worsham, they had three daughters. They were later divorced. He worked as a postal worker, Freight delivery driver and later retired as a custodian for the school district.
He enjoyed woodworking and making beautiful pieces and furniture for himself and others in his woodworking shop. In his earlier years he enjoyed showing horses, fishing, camping, and riding dirt bikes.
Don met and fell in love with his longtime partner Beverly Manley, she proceeded him in death. He was dedicated to being a compassionate caregiver to her after she suffered a stroke, and did that for many years until her death.
Don is survived by his daughters, Donita (Bob) Foust, Cindy (Darren) Starr, Laurie (Jim) Purcell, 6 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.
Memorial Service/Military honors and internment will be held at the Grand Junction Veterans Cemetery, 2830 Riverside Parkway. 3:00 PM on March 22, 2024.
