Dominic R. Roberts, born on September 17, 1972, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2025, at the age of 52.
Dominic was a skilled mechanic with a special love for old Dodge trucks. He had a gift for bringing engines back to life, and an artist’s soul that found its way into every detail of his work—whether on a canvas or beneath the hood of a car. He loved building and racing RC cars, where his creativity and competitive spirit truly came to life. He also found joy and peace in the mountains, surrounded by nature.
For 13 years, he shared his life and heart with his beloved partner, Debora Ann Klickner.
He is survived by his son, Dominic Roberts Jr.; his treasured grandchildren, Liam and Willow; his mother, Karen Roberts; his brother, Tony Roberts and Jennifer; his sister, Stacey Church and Dustin; and his half-brother, Scott Johnson and Tracy. He was a proud uncle to nieces Chante Church and Ashley Hollowell; and nephews Von Church, Darien Church, Cody Roberts, Levi Roberts, and Keith Roberts.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alvie Roberts; his grandparents; and his grandson, Elias Troy Roberts—whom he now joins with love.
Dominic’s legacy is etched into the lives he touched and the love he gave so freely. Whether turning a wrench, sketching a scene, racing an RC car, or spending time in nature, he poured his heart into the simple things that made life meaningful. He’ll be remembered always—as a father, a brother, a partner, a grandfather, and a man who lived with purpose and quiet grace.
The Celebration of Life will be held June 28th, 2025, from 4:00–8:00 PM at the Long Family Memorial Park – William J Shelter, 3117 F Road, Grand Junction, Colorado 81504.
