Peterson

Diane Marie Peterson was born in Redwing, Minnesota on September 16, 1950, to Awald "Wally" and Dorothy Louella Grieger. Diane was third in line of 9 Children. She spent her childhood in Minnesota. She attended Burnsville high school where she played catcher on her high school softball team and was active in the theatre program.
In 1972 she met the love of her life, Richard Peterson. They were married and raised three children. Richard and Diane moved their family to Colorado in the early'80's where the children still reside. Diane continued her education pursuing a degree in the medical field earning an LPN certificate in nursing and working in the private sector for 15 years.
Diane was a lover and protector of horses and dogs, really all animals! Her other loves were her family, gardening, being outdoors, boating, fishing, four wheeling… Sci-fi movies. She was a Master of Arts, crafts and decorating. Music was always playing around her.
Christmas was Diane's favorite holiday. She would go to the extreme decorating while listening to Loretta Lynn's Christmas album for the entire month of December. She loved the shopping, Coffee, and truly was the original foodie!
Diane was a Beautiful, Fun and Loving mom, a loyal sister and a devoted friend. Diane's deep faith in God and the Lutheran Church gave her unwavering strength throughout her life.
Diane was preceded in death by her Loving Husband, Richard, her parents, Wally and Dorothy, her brothers, Darryl, Matthew and Dale, and Sister, Nancy. Diane leaves behind three children, Heidi LaDuke, Sara' (Shane) Larsen and Joshua Peterson, six grandchildren, Kobey and Johanna LaDuke, Conrad and Jordan Ippolito and Zachary and Gage Peterson and two great grand girls, Aria and Aurelia Ippolito, her sisters, Corrine Dally, Susan (Chuck) Ekstrom and Karen Sickler and brother, Mark (Lorna) Grieger.
Diane was loved for her giving heart, sharp wit, deep love and compassion… She is already missed! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
