Diana “Diny” Foy Stengel

December 18, 1951-July 18, 2016

Diny passed away after a long, courageous battle with cancer.  She was born and went to school in Moab, Utah. She attended Utah State University where she earned her BS degree in Special Education. She taught in Moab before moving to Grand Junction where she worked for many years in radio advertising.  She will be missed by her “Radio family” and her many clients who became close friends.

Her greatest joys were times spent with her grand children and friends camping, boating, gardening and preparing huge family dinners. She had a smile that lit up the room, a quick wit and an easy laugh.

Diny was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Frances Foy.  She is survived by her husband Rick Stengel, Fruita;  and her four children, Kristen(Tom) Smith, Alaska;  Carly (Steve)Kelley, Denver; Kara(Cameron) Mason, Fruita; and Ricky(Cynnamon) Stengel, Fruita; nine grandchildren, one great-granddaughter.  For many years, she and Rick have been co-guardians for Rick’s sister, Stephanie Stengel.

Diny  will be missed by her siblings Dave(Darlene) Foy, Erie; Angie(Jess)Arreola, Fruita; Billy(Rachel)Foy, Moab; and many nieces, nephews and relatives in Colorado, Utah, Alaska , Alabama, New Mexico, Nevada and, Kentucky.

Memorial services will be held at the Downtown Vineyard Church on Saturday, July 23, at 3:00pm
