Debra Arlene Harris Boone

6 November 1953 – 18 April 2022

Debra Arlene Boone was born in Grand Junction, Colorado on November 6th, 1953, to Arlo Dewayne Harris and Aronda Jean (Harris) Campbell. She grew up in Grand Junction, Colorado, Helena Montana, and Walla Walla, Washington, with her brother and sisters Arron, Sharon, and Valerie. They soon moved to Dixie, Washington where Debby attended Dixie and Waitsburg Schools and Walla Walla High School where she graduated in 1973. In Dixie they started a family farm with a crop of alfalfa and large vegetable garden. They had horses, cows, pigs, and chickens. They worked hard but also had fun. There was a paper route they delivered on horseback. Debby loved animals especially horses. She always had a dog of her own. She was married to Douglas Boone on March 15, 1983. She was an excellent mother and caregiver. Debra worked for MDS as a caregiver for the disabled, at various group homes, and the state home for the disabled.

Debby is survived by her husband Doug, her mother Aronda and little sister Valerie, her son David and wife Lindsey, three grandchildren: Clara, Glen, and Liam, numerous aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins, and her dog sapphire. All loved and will miss her deeply.

We ask in place of flowers perhaps a donation to; Shriners Children’s Hospital, The Mayo Clinic, or Roice-Hurst Humane Society.
