Daniel Edward “Ed” Ralston was born in Jacksonville, FL and was reared in the Miami area. He graduated from Miami Jackson High School 1955 and immediately entered the United States Naval Academy graduating in 1959.

The newly minted Ensign was sent to Mayport, FL to board the USN, Jonas Ingram. You have met a genuine sailor if he knows when he was introduced to Davy Jones as he crossed the equator at 0,00,00 latitude and 0,00,00 longitude on 6 May 1962. Ed separated from the Navy after 8 years.

He then enrolled at the University of Florida in the MBA (Finance)program graduating 1964. During working years, he was employed by Chemstrand (FL), Monsanto (MO), Fisher Controls (IA), Lacy Industries (IN) and Golden Rule Insurance (IN).

Ed was introduced to Jesus in his mid 30’s. As he increased in knowledge of Jesus’ teachings, he became an ambassador winning others to acknowledge a loving Savior. He anonymously gave his time, money and wisdom to caring for widows and children, feeding the poor and sending missionaries to spread the Word.

Ed and Linda were married for 64 years. At each anniversary Ed would ask, "Do you want to try it for one more year? The answer was "OK lets give it one more!"
