Daniel Esparza

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Daniel Joseph Esparza, Sr., who passed away on December 26, 2021 at the age of 78.

Daniel was born on March 22, 1943 to Alberto and Adela Esparza in Alamosa, CO. He was a United States Air Force Vietnam Veteran. As a longtime resident of Grand Junction, CO he worked for School District 51 as a Driver’s Education Teacher and the Computer and Auto Mechanics Instructor at Western Colorado Community College until he retired.

He is survived by his wife Margarett Esparza; his daughters Leslie (Lee) Hyde and Sonja Esparza; his sons Andrew (JoAnne) Esparza, Daniel Esparza, Jr., and Donovan Esparza and 9 brothers and sisters. Daniel also has 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
