Clark Cyril Countryman

August 22, 1959 — June 2, 2024

Clark passed away on June 2, 2024, at home with his loving family by his side. He was 64.

Clark was born on August 22, 1959, to Jack Cyril Countryman and Vicki Jo Countryman (Darr) in Denver, CO. He was the oldest of six kids.

Clark moved to Alaska in the 1980’s where his journey took him on many adventures, like trouble shooting for offshore drilling rigs and deep-sea fishing. He married Niki Countryman in 1994, and together they raised their two children, Jessica (Mathew) Counts and Lauren Countryman.

Professionally, Clark was a highly skilled aerospace mechanic, earning his degree from the University of Alaska in 1993. He was also an FFA inspector. One of his most significant contributions to the industry, was serving the Lord through MAF (mission aviation fellowship) in Indonesia from 1999-2003.

Clark’s hobbies reflected his multifaceted personality. He was a patient fisherman, hiker, a soulful guitar player, an avid reader with interests in sci-fi and of course the Bible. His cooking was legendary.

Clark left his mark on anyone he met. He was a kind soul. He will be remembered mostly for his hardy infectious laugh. Clark will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His spirit, characterized by generosity, warmth, and a genuine love for life. He will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends and all the lives he touched.

He is preceded in death by his father Jack Countryman and Loren Darr. He is survived by his mother Vicki Darr, his daughters Jessi (Mathew) Counts and Lauren Countryman. His siblings Guy (Paula) Countryman, Aaron (Melissa) Countryman, Carol Countryman, Levi (Shauna Countryman, Kelli Countryman, and Clayton (Kristy) Darr, and so many nieces and nephews.

We are thankful to HopeWest for all the loving care they gave Clark during his illness and ask that any donations or contributions anyone would like to make, please make to them. There will be no services for Clark as he would want everyone to remember him by celebrating life and knowing he is with God.
