Celia Anita Abeyta

Celia Anita Abeyta age 62 died on Friday 3/10/2023 following a sudden illness.

 Born 11/10/1960 in Grand Junction, Colorado, she was the daughter of Perfecto Abeyta and Ruth Abeyta.

Celia attended Grand Junction, Colorado school system. 

Celia retired from Grand Villa as an elderly care worker.  Celia was a dedicated and hardworking

person that always placed the welfare of the retirees before everything else. 

Celia enjoyed making craft jewelry and certainly trout fishing with her beloved husband of 35 years Dwayne Thurston.

Celia is survived by her husband Dwayne Thurston, sons: Randy Thurston (Josef/wife Taylor), Bryan Thurston (Byron, Riley, and Nolan), and Jeremiah Thurston.  Celia is survived by her sisters: Helen Thurman (John), Vera Kelly, Alberta Abeyta (Jerry Thurston), and Cora DeCoteau.  Surviving brothers: Ron Abeyta, Eugene Abeyta and Kenneth Abeyta (Julie).  Surviving sisters-in-laws: Vickie Thurston (Kody/wife Brittney/daughter Hailey), Debbie (Ramie), and Chestine Elhalfy (Tim, Steve, Dondria, and Stephanie).  Also, her true best friend Debbie Maestas.

Celia is proceeded in death by her parents Perfecto and Ruth Abeyta, brothers: Charles, Jim, Floyd, Stevan, and nephew Richard Abeyta. 

No services will be held.

Celia is now in the hands of God in the rose garden beside the trout stream flowing thru heaven with her loving departed relatives awaiting on those surviving to arrive.
