Cecilia Montano Sandoval, 87, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother lost her courageous battle with cancer on June 13, 2026. She was born November 22, 1938 in New Mexico, and moved with her husband, Alex, to the Grand Valley in 2021 to be closer to family.

Cecilia was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Alex; her parents, Juan H. Montano and Hortensia P. Montano; Jimmy Montano, and Robert Montano.

Cecilia is survived by her daughter Sandra, and her husband Randy Jones; Evelyn Donahue; Alex A. Sandoval, Jr; Rick F. Sandoval; and Rachel Montano. Cecilia is also survived by her 14 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.

Cecilia enjoyed quilting, crocheting, ceramics, water aerobics, and she loved the Denver Broncos.

Cecilia wanted a special thank you to her Goddaughter and granddaughter, Meghan, for helping to care for her at her end of life.

Heartfelt thanks to those who went above and beyond for her care; HopeWest Hospice and their facility for their much-needed support; and the friends she made during the last few months of her life.

Per her wishes, private services will be held.
