Briana Jayne
Elliott
December 22, 1980 – March 13, 2026
Briana Jayne “Bre” Elliott, 45, of Clifton, Colorado, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born and raised in Grand Junction, Colorado, and was a beloved wife, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend.
Bre spent most of her childhood surrounded by friends and family. It was during this time that she developed a love and passion for animals. She spent most of her work years in the animal care profession and was willing to help anyone who needed pet-care advice. She went back to school and earned a Medical Assistant associate’s degree from IntelliTec College but soon learned that she liked animals more.
Tyson and Bre met in 2014 and were married on December 28, 2017. They enjoyed camping, hiking, cooking, gardening, and traveling together. A recent trip to France and Italy was a dream come true for them. She was also quite content with a cozy blanket and a good book while cuddling with her fur babies. Heavy metal music was often blasting in her car or could be heard over the vacuum cleaner in the house. She took great pride in nurturing her plants, creating life and beauty in the spaces around her. Bre also was proud to share that she and Tyson recently started attending Clifton Christian Church and had made it their church home.
Bre is survived by her husband, Tyson; her parents Beverly Ashurst and David (Stephanie) Mercer; her in-laws who loved her as their own; her older brother, Joseph; her younger brothers, Ben (Kaitlin) and Jake (Antonia); her younger sister, Sarah (Ryan); her nephew and niece, as well as her aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and her beloved animals Macy, Oliver, and Stewie. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Bre’s memory will live on in the kindness she showed, the love she gave, and the simple joys she embraced each day.
