Betty Ann (Howard) Patton, age 87, of Grand Junction, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 4th, 2026.

 Betty was born on November 2nd, 1938, in Carbondale, Kansas. 

Betty was a deeply loving and loyal daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She loved reading mystery novels, collecting lighthouse figurines, and bowling with friends and family. Betty was also one of the most hardworking women you’ve ever met. She spent over three decades of her life working for Comcast Corporation in Rifle, CO, while also working part-time at Domino’s Pizza, and as a professional cleaner for many local schools, libraries, police stations, and public offices. Betty was also a proud member of the Glenwood Springs Eagles Club and the Rifle Elks Lodge. 

Betty is proceeded in death by; her parents, Everett and Martha (Nolan) Howard of Topeka, KS; her brothers, Robert Howard of Boise, ID, Larry Howard of Wichita, KS, and James Howard of Eskridge, KS; her ex-husband Julius Patton of Grand Junction, CO; and her sons, Gary Patton of Rifle, CO, Tommy Patton of Fruita, CO, and Ronny Patton of Grand Junction, CO. Betty is survived by; her siblings, Richard, Keneth, Donald, and Patty Howard of Eskridge, KS; her children, Rick Patton of Utah, and Cheryl (Patton) Garrett of Grand Junction, CO; her grandchildren, Tommy Patton Jr of Florida, Jesse Rector of Denver, CO, David Patton (William Patton) of Hawaii, Josephina Patton of Denver, CO, Xena Patton of Rifle, CO, Savannah Lawhead of Salt Lake City, UT, and Beverly Patton of Alaska; as well as her many great-grandchildren.
