Arthur Earl John Arendall Jr., age 76, passed away on March 17, 2026, following a long illness.
He was born on October 6, 1949, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of the late Arthur Earl John Arendall Sr. and Beatrice Anne Arendall (Surges).
Arthur married Rosemarie (Ryan) on August 18, 1973, in Wauconda, Illinois, and they shared more than 52 years of marriage together.
He was a graduate of Wheeling High School in Wheeling, Illinois, and Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois. Arthur was a proud veteran of the United States Army, having served a year in Vietnam during the Vietnam War.
Arthur worked as a project manager for Northrop Grumman before his retirement. He was also a devoted member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Grand Junction.
Art and Rosey enjoyed cruising and traveling the world together. He was also an avid fan of the Chicago White Sox and the Chicago Bears. Arthur was known for his friendly nature, his willingness to quietly lend a helping hand, and his deep dedication to his family.
Arthur was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Earl Arthur John Arendall. He is also remembered by his sister-in-law, Anita Arendall, Earl’s widow.
He is survived by his loving wife, Rosemarie Arendall; his son, Donald Ryan (Kaori) Arendall of Austin, Colorado; his daughter, Lisa Anne (David) Hart of Denver, Colorado; his sister, Donna Jo (Gary) Moorehouse of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas; and his brother, John Arthur Earl (Carol) Arendall of Mundelein, Illinois.
He is also survived by his grandchildren: Lars Ryan (Andrea) Havens of Milliken, Colorado; Joseph Kai Arendall of Denver, Colorado; Jennifer Sayaka Arendall of Grand Junction, Colorado; and Jessica Kana Arendall of Lakewood, Colorado; as well as his great-grandsons, Nolan Ryan Havens and Wyatt Lee Havens. He will also be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A military service will be held on March 31, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2830 Riverside Parkway, Grand Junction, Colorado.
A memorial service will be held on April 25, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 13119 W. 20th Ave., Golden, Colorado.
