Obituary

Arron Paul Clark born December 25, 1953 10th of 11 children of Minnie Bell Mross Clark and Jewell Clark in Weiner Arkansas. He passed away March 17th 2026. His family headed out for Nucla, Colorado when Paul was only 6 months old. Paul graduated from Nucla High School in 1972.

After high school he went to Oklahoma and Texas to find work. Paul and his buddies on the night of his bachelor party decided to go streaking through Nucla Main Street and getting arrested. Despite being arrested Shannon Cline still married him on April 14, 1974.

Working for Union Carbide 1974-1988. Paul and Shannon moved to Blanding Utah in 1984. After leaving Union Carbide he ventured out starting his own business Paul’s Wood and Iron Works. Master of everything was Paul. He could build and create anything from nothing. Buildings , tanks, furnaces, there was no job that he could not do. Paul and Shannon moved back to Nucla in 2013 building a home and living on the ranch that they purchased. They used the old Naturita School building as the structure for their beautiful home.

Paul never knew a stranger. He had a poem for everyone and knew everyone’s birthdays, anniversaries and phone numbers. Checking on friends often was something he was good at.

Proceeded in death are his parents Minnie and Jewell Clark, siblings Joann Davis, Finis Barnes, Tiny Burbridge, Bill, Larry, Ernie. Paul is survived by his wife, Shannon, daughters Heather Howell (Dan), Laura Jamalkowski (John) grandchildren, DJ (Sierra), Dylan, Denim, Breanna (Justin) Keygan (Miriam) Chloe (Yanger) Kyler great grandchildren Paisley, Jaxley, Waylon. Siblings Maggie Lemons, Janet (Noel) Woods, Bob (Onie), Bo (Lynn).

Graveside service will be at the Nucla Cemetery April 11th at 11am following is a celebration of life at the Uravan Ball Park. Side dishes welcome.
