Antonie David Stroeve was born February 14, 1969, to Linda Hurst Stroeve and Antonie Stroeve in Redondo Beach, California.

David is survived by his mother, Linda Hurst Boote, his stepfather, David Boote, his father, Antonie Stroeve and his sister, Julienne Stroeve, brothers Eric Stroeve, Alan Stroeve, Mark Stroeve, step brothers Jeffrey Boote and James Boote and best friend Fabiola Avelino. In addition, he is survived by his 4 children: Nikolas Mathews, Jeffrey Mathews, Avry Stroeve, and Aris Stroeve. Also, he had 2 grandchildren, Adilyn Mathews and Rhett Mathews.

David lived for 6 years in the Netherlands and then in the Littleton area graduating from Columbine High School.  Through his years, he was known as an excellent athlete, part of the state championship soccer team from Columbine, a super competitive skier, bicycle racer and an ATV enthusiast.

He excelled in business endeavors starting as a teenager with multilevel marketing and moved up to Director of Sales, with Breckenridge Grand Vacations.  He was a founding member, with stepfather David Boote, of West Maui Cycles, in Maui, Hawaii.  He also ran a consulting business, ADS Consulting, to assist companies with marketing strategies. 

David was devoted to his family and friends. He was generous with his time and money and was highly thought of in the Breckenridge community. When not working, he traveled the world visiting numerous countries and all around the USA.

David passed away at home in Grand Junction May 30th, 2023.

His family will be having a Celebration of Life for him on July 29th, 2023, at a private house in Sunshine Canyon near Boulder. Please contact a family member if you want to attend.

David was loved by many and will be truly missed by all that knew him.
