In Loving Memory of Ann Royall Carter (May 30, 1941 – June 04, 2026)

Ann passed away peacefully in Grand Junction, Co surrounded by the love of the family she cherished throughout her life. A proud native of South Texas and the daughter of Reverend Kermit and Rebecca Gibbons, Ann carried the warmth, kindness, and strength of her roots wherever she went. She was also a beloved sister to Rosemary, Tom and John.

Although born and raised in Texas, Ann spent the majority of her life in both Alaska and Colorado and enjoyed the beauty of nature that both of these states provide.

Ann was the devoted wife of 44 years to Alex Carter and a loving mother to her children, Leesa, Aissa, and Stephen. She was a cherished grandmother of five and proud great-grandmother of four. Her family was the center of her life and her greatest joy.

To know Ann was to know selfless love. She embodied the essence of caring for others—always offering a kind word, a helping hand, or a warm embrace. She had a special way of making people feel welcomed, valued, and deeply loved.

A lifelong member of the United Methodist Church, she maintained a deep spiritual connection with her church and believed love was life’s greatest purpose. She lived that belief every day. Through her example, she taught her family kindness, compassion, and generosity of spirit.

She leaves behind a legacy carried forward by her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and all those whose lives she touched. Though she will be deeply missed, the love she gave so freely will remain in the hearts of her family forever.

She moved through life with joy, grace and an everlasting song in her heart.

Forever loved. Forever remembered. Gulb!
