Obituary

Alan David Feldman, age 82, died Monday, May 25 2026, following a long illness.

Born March 3 1944 in Bronx, New York, he was the son of the late Aaron and Frances Feldman. Not long after Alan's birth, the family moved to Bayside, New York where Alan attended school, grades 1-12. After high school, Alan's first full time job was working as a civilian apprentice rigger for the Brooklyn Navy Shipyard. When the shipyard was closed, Alan obtained work at National Cash Register.

When NCR offered computer engineering courses, Alan jumped at the opportunity to begin studying for a career in computer hardware. Thus, Alan's focus and smarts brought him into the fast growing field of the computer industry. He worked many years as an engineer, and later, as a computer engineer manager.

Alan met his second wife, Valarie, at the Navy Astronautics Group at Pt Mugu Naval Air Base, CA. They were married July 1 1974. In the mid 1970's, Alan became a Messianic Jew while attending church at, The Church on the Way, in Van Nuys, CA.

Alan enjoyed sports, particularly baseball and soccer. As a young adult, he had played baseball for a sponsored team. When he had children, he encouraged and supported them in their sports, or whatever activity they were interested in. Alan was an outgoing person with genuine interest in the lives of everyone he met. He worked hard for his family, always pushing himself forward. Life's ups and downs were met with his faith in the Lord's goodness and Salvation. He was a loving husband and father. We will miss him more than words can express.

Alan was preceded in death by brother, Fred; sister, Phyllis; mother, Frances; father Aaron; brother, Joel; brother, Larry; daughter, Jacqueline Acosta; brother, Jerry.

Alan is survived by wife, Valarie; son, Peter; Son, David (Jennifer); daughter, Jessica Pielaet (Henry); son, Joshua; grandchildren, Christian; Jake; Joshua; Max; Wesley; Alex; Adrianna; Jocelyn; Oliver.

Our family would like to thank everyone who took care of Alan at DCI-Grand Junction; HopeWest-Grand Junction. Alan's celebration of life will be held at a later date.
